About Davis Henderson

Dr. Henderson is a bilingual Navajo speech-language pathologist and researcher with over five years of experience working with Navajo children with speech and language differences and disorders. Raised on the Navajo Nation, he brings deep cultural and linguistic knowledge to his work. His research focuses on culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment practices, including dynamic assessment tools to more accurately identify developmental language disorders in Navajo preschoolers. Dr. Henderson’s work is grounded in strong community collaboration and is informed by years of engagement with Navajo Nation leadership and education departments.
