Dr. Qwaye Bright

About Dr. Qwaye Bright

Dr. Bright is the special education director for the Arizona Department of Corrections and has various experiences working with, and advocating for, individuals with exceptional needs. Her research interests focus on learners with disabilities, instructional strategies, and issues of diversity. She has presented her work at multiple national, state, and local conferences. Dr. Bright is active on the Special Education Advisory Panel where she serves as the Vice Chair. In addition to her current leadership, Dr. Bright has experience at the state education level working for the Arizona Department of Education, as well as 25 years in the education field overall.
