Dr. Gabrielle Ficchi, a passionate advocate for disability rights, has always been committed to promoting equality and justice for the disability community. Dr. Ficchi is a full-time faculty member at the University of Phoenix, where she teaches courses in counseling. Her specialty and research areas include disability pride, independent living, resilience, and disability identity. She is also the COO of Care 4 the Caregivers, working to build a community of support among caregivers, with disabled children, raise awareness, and better the lives of disabled people in her community.
