About Jenifer Fernandez

Jenifer Fernandez serves as the Universal Design for Learning and Inclusive Instruction Specialist for the Arizona Department of Education’s Exceptional Student Services. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The University of Arizona. Dual-certified in Elementary and Secondary Mathematics, she also holds a Mathematics Specialist endorsement._x000D_
Before joining ADE in 2019, Jenifer spent 15 years teaching in the Tucson area. Since 2006, she has also been a professional development facilitator at local, state, and national levels. She believes that all students are capable of learning and that it is the responsibility of educational leaders to empower teachers in fostering a positive culture and mindset around education.
