Julie Lazzara. PhD, is a Professor of Psychology at Chandler-Gilbert Community College and has taught psychology for over 20 years. As a mother of two children with rare diseases, her professional expertise is deeply informed by her personal journey navigating the complexities of the medical and educational systems. Following the tragic loss of her son, Julie became the President and Co-founder of Landon’s Legacy Foundation. She is a dedicated advocate for the disability community, and currently serves on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Data Safety Monitoring Board and the Chandler Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities.
