About Thomas Hartman

Thomas Hartman, DMSc, PA-C is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Studies program at A.T. Still University and serves as Director of Student Progression and Retention. A graduate of ATSU’s PA (2008) and DMSc (2021) programs, he brings nearly two decades of emergency medicine experience, along with specialized training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, to his work in PA education. Dr. Hartman is known for advancing holistic admissions, student success and retention initiatives, health equity, and innovative experiential learning. He currently serves as President-Elect of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants and as a member of the American Academy of PAs Commission on the Health of the Public.
