About Dawn Armfield

Dawn M. Armfield is an Associate Professor of Technical Communication at Minnesota State University, Mankato where her teaching and research focus on human-centered design in emerging and embodied technologies. She has published in interdisciplinary fields with emphasis in equity, emerging technologies, online collaborations, and educational technologies. Her most recent presentation was “Transitioning Disability Advocacy within Community Settings through the Development of Virtual Reality” at the 21st International Conference on New Directions in the Humanities. She was also an invited guest for the Room 42 video/podcast on Ethics and Empathy in Technical Communication.
